PRIVACY POLICY

Decolonising The Archive (DTA) collects data in the form of names and email addresses so we are able to communicate effectively with people who are interested in the work we create, produce and share. This work includes public events, films, visual art, music, publications and learning materials. We only collect the names and email addresses of those people who have given us permission to do so because they are interested in our products and activities.

We also collect anonymised data on the activities of our subscribers (e.g. the number of people who clicked on an email link) in order to improve the effectiveness of our communications.

The data you share with DTA will never be shared with any third-parties. In order for us to keep in contact with you, we do however need to store this data using an electronic mailing list manager. We currently use Mailchimp for this purpose. You can read Mailchimp's Privacy Policy here. Currently, we use Eventbrite to manage tickets and attendee lists for our events. When you register to attend an event using Eventbrite, your registration details are stored on their servers. You can read Eventbrite's Privacy Policy here

Names and email addresses voluntarily provided to us will be held securely as long as DTA is active and has something to communicate with people who are interested in our activities. If you wish your data to be removed from our database, you can click the 'unsubscribe' link provided at the foot of every email for this purpose. Alternatively, send us an email at info@decolonisingthearchive.com asking for your details to be removed from our lists and we will manually do so. You may also contact us at this email address if you have any questions or concerns about the processing and use of the data you have provided.
