Part one of a two-part event hosted by Hackney Archives as part of Hackney's Black History Season. Dub is all about re-imagination and re-organisation. By laying things bare and resisting the pressure, Dub poetry asks us to re-imagine boundaries, societies and localities. A healing crisis.
Through immersion in Dub, Poetry, Film, Archive and Performance, this workshop invites you to re-imagine futures. Paying tribute to the lineage - highlighting poets like Linton Kwesi Johnson, Mikey Smith and Jean 'Binta' Breeze alongside activists from Hackney and beyond - DTA reveal, remix and reimagine live in the space, working with live musicians to create and re-vision.
Tickets are free but booking via Eventbrite is essential. Click here to book your place.
